Cadets

The Cadet program is in conjunction with the Calvinist Cadet Corps, an independent (non-denominational)youth ministry organization.  Founded in 1952, the Corps has more than 650 clubs throughout North America.  The organization uses the title "Calvinist" to honor the Protestant freformer, John Calvin, who devoted his life to the religious education of God's children.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The basis of the Calvinist Cadet Corps is the Word of God (the bible) according ot the concept of the same as expressed in the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dordt, and the Belgic Confession.

OUR GOAL

The three Cs in the center of the shield have special meaning.  Not only do they represent The Calvinist Corps name, they form a cross.  This reminds us of God's Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross for our sins.

CADET VERSE

"If you love Me, you will keep My commandements."  John 14:15

CADET MOTTO

Living for Jesus

CADET HYMN: LIVING FOR JESUS

Living for Jesus a life that is true,

Striving to please Him in all that i do;

Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free,

This is the pathway of blessing for me.

O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee;

I own no other Master, My heart shall be Thy throne;

My life I give, henceforth to live, O Christ for Thee alone.

CADET PLEDGE

Thankful to God for His gifts to me, I pledge myself to be ready to serve God, my parents, my country, my church, my neighbor, and my Corps.

CADET CODE

A Cadet must be reverent, obedient, compassionate, consecrated, trustworthy, pure, grateful, loyal, industrious, and cheerful.
