Pastor: Bob Pollema Pastor Bob grew up in the small town of Hull, IA in Iowa's Northwest corner. He attended Dordt college where he earned a degree in theater and English. After college he spent four years in Leota, MN where he worked at Huskien Meats and his wife, MaryBeth, taught grade school. During those four years they decided to give missions a try and went on a short term assignment to Belize, Central Ameria for two years. After those two years they worked with I.D.E.A Ministries (International Discipleship and Evangelism Association) as recruiters and facilitators of their College and High School short term mission projects. After two years with I.D.E.A they went with a home mission's church planter to Las Vegas, Nevada and spent the next eight years church planting. It was during those eight years that he attended Fuller Seminary and received a Master's of Divinity. After these eight years, he was called to Bunde in 2005 to preach God's word. He and his wife MaryBeth have three children, Noah, Micah and Anneka. Pastor Bob enjoys reading about history, being with people, reading, exercising, hiking, and long car rides with a good book. He also enjoys playing board games like chess or checkers or playing cards. Youth Director: Garrett Hovland Garrett grew up in a large family of nine on a farm near Bricelyn, MN, on the Iowa/MN border. He attended Dordt college where he received his degree in Animal Science. Following college, he worked on a farm for a few years and then was called to God's plan for youth ministry. He and his wife Hollie live on an acreage Southwest of Raymond, MN. Garrett enjoys playing sports, being outside and raising animals. He has been working at Bunde since August 2010. He teaches lessons and organizes events to minister to our students in grades 7-12.
